Treat People Like People
Remember to treat those you minister to as Jesus did, like people.
1. Always remember the golden rule.
All of our lives we hear the words, “Treat others how you want to be treated.” It is especially important that we remember to do this while we’re serving abroad. Take some time to consider how you would want to be treated if the roles were reversed.
2. Introduce them to Jesus.
Don’t be afraid to let your words reflect your Jesus-like actions. As you are speaking with people, and as you are building relationships with those you’re serving, remember to introduce them to Jesus. Tell them stories of his miracles, his love, and the amazing gift of life that he’s given to all of us.
3. John 13:34
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”
