You might try focusing on one each week. Take a deeper look at God’s character and what He promises to His children. You will feel more refreshed and in awe of who He is!
Here are a few to get you started. Lean on these promises of God and keep your eyes fixed on Him.
-
The Lord is faithful (II Timothy 2:13, Psalm 33:11)
“If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot disown Himself.”
“The Lord foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.”
-
His grace is enough (II Corinthians 12:9)
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
-
His mercies are new every morning (Lamentation 3:22-23)
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
-
He hears you (Psalm 34:15)
“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.”
-
He will strengthen you (Isaiah 41:10)
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
-
He will give you wisdom (James 1:5)
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
-
He will be with you (Joshua 1:9)
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
-
He has overcome (John 16:33)
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
-
His purpose will prevail (Proverbs 19:21)
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”
-
His word is trustworthy (Psalm 19:7-9)
“The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.”
