No, our plans do not cover pre-existing conditions. For Basic, Plus, Premium, and Trip Cancellation plans the policy documents define Pre-Existing Condition as:
“an illness, disease, or other condition during the 60 day period immediately prior to the Effective Date of Your coverage for which You or Your Traveling Companion, Business Partner or Family Member scheduled or booked to travel with You:
1) received or received a recommendation for a test, examination, or medical treatment; or
2) took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine.
Item (2) of this definition does not apply to a condition which is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment.”
The 365 policy documents define Pre-Existing Condition as:
“Any Illness, Injury, sickness, disease, or other physical, medical, Mental or Nervous Disorder, condition or ailment that, with reasonable medical certainty, existed at the time of Application or at any time during the three (3) years prior to the Effective Date of this insurance, whether or not previously manifested, symptomatic or known, diagnosed, Treated, or disclosed to the Company prior to the Effective Date, and including any and all chronic, subsequent or recurring complications or consequences related thereto or resulting or arising therefrom.”
We know that this can get pretty technical if you’re having trouble determining if your condition would be considered pre-existing, give our Customer Care reps a call. They would be happy to discuss it with you.
