What the Ministry is All About

Hope Grafted In is all about speaking up for others.  Because they have been grafted into the family of God, they desire to pour out the love and hope of Christ to orphans, vulnerable people, and adopting families through relational encouragement and financial support.

What People Should Know

Hope Grafted In desires to engage the followers of Jesus in the orphan care movement by providing emergency relief aid, sustainable project development, and sponsorship facilitation, all in the context of a real relationship.

How God is at Work

In October 2013, Hope Grafted In organized their first ministry trip to Uganda with their director, Shelley Brown. The team visited families in the villages surrounding Ebenezer Children’s Ministry in Kibuku, prayed with them, and gave them a bag of necessities to bless them.

Last week, the 2014 HGI team again visited families, including this precious woman, who was a recipient last year.

“When we visited her, she wanted to show us her pile of beans, which she had just harvested. It took me a minute to understand what she was trying to communicate to us. As it became clear, I was overwhelmed with the presence of Jesus at this home, the miracle God did. This took the one-pound bag of beans we brought her last year to use for food and PLANTED them, and had beans for her family ALL YEAR LONG! God is Good!!” 

How to Get Involved

1. Go on a trip

The main purpose of HGI trips is to connect sponsors with their sponsored children as well as continue building the relationships with our partner ministries. However, even if you have no previous connection with Hope Grafted In, their desire is that you would join them on a trip and find out ways you can begin speaking up for the least of these. 2. Sponsor a child

The most precious gift you can give an orphan is the gift of sponsorship and relationship with your family. Each penny that you donate will be distributed among all children evenly who are currently at the home of the child you choose. Learn more. 

3. Join one of our campaigns

Throughout the year, HGI organizes a number of campaigns designed to help the communities in which they’re serving. Past campaigns have raised money for vehicles, school supplies, shoes, and more. Find out how you can contribute to current campaigns and make a difference.  Learn more.
